Grief: Can it help us in our adoption journey? a
weekend symposium, October
14 - 16, 2011
in Vancouver, British Columbia. Joe Soll, LCSW, DAPA |

Please
mark
your calendars for Friday October 14th thru Sunday October 16,
2011. The Forget Me Not Family Society will for the third time
present
Joe Soll for our fall workshop.
This year the title is:
"Good Grief! Can it help us in our adoption journey? "
This
year we are very excited to be holding our fall workshop at the
Travelodge
Vancouver Airport in Richmond,B.C. This venue will allow us to
hold our
event totally under "one roof". How cool is that? For
those that will be arriving at YVR you will be able to take advantage
of the
free shuttle that the Travelodge offers. For those coming by car
but
staying at the Travelodge Hotel there is free parking. Just
imagine
- instead of the "up hill" jaunt from the Inn in New
Westminster to Douglas College, you will only have to take the
short
elevator ride to the lobby and the brief "inside" walk to the St.
Edward's Room.
On
Friday night from 6pm - 6:30 is registration
6:30
to 9pm we will hold a support group with Joe Soll, which will be
followed
by dessert and coffee.
Saturday
morning instead of everyone having to be up at the crack of dawn for
breakfast
we will start the workshop at 9 am.
For those that wish to grab
coffee/tea or water please arrive prior to 9am (maybe 8:30am or so? we
can
always chat). Water will be available as will coffee/tea refills
during
the morning.
Noon
- 1pm.
We
will all be in need of a break, so how about lunch and a group
photo?
From
1pm - 6pm we will cover the balance of the workshop, with a brief break
at 4pm
and then a support group facilitated by Joe Soll.
As
always we hope that those in attendance will take part in a no host
dinner
(venue to be announced) after the support group on Saturday evening.
Sunday
morning we will all meet again, at approx 8:30am for coffee and
pastries.
From 9am - noon Joe will facilitate a support group. Afterwards
for those
who wish to attend we will hold a no host lunch. (venue to be announced)
I
hope that all of you will take part in our 6th annual fall
workshop.
Space is limited. As always we offer our earlybird draw to win
back your
registration.
Thanks
for your continued support !
Looking
forward to seeing you again !
