| Leslie Wagner, psychotherapist and
adoption educator has recently completed year 4 of the Gestalt
Psychotherapy Training Program at The Gestalt Institute of
Toronto. Leslie graduated on the honor roll in social work and
has a background as a Social Service Worker assisting grieving families
with suicide and homicide giving her a unique sensitivity related to
loss. She has co–facilitated women’s groups at the North York Women’s
Centre and is currently a volunteer counsellor at the 519 Community
Centre. Leslie has been an advocate for open adoption records and facilitated adoption–related workshops for over a decade. She spoke at two Hansard Standing Committee hearings in support of open adoption records and was a participant in the stakeholder review board for the Adoption Information Disclosure Act with the Ministry of Community and Social Services. Leslie has been reunited with her son for six years. |
